The Greater Dayton Paralegal Association, Inc. (GDPA) was formed in 1984, and incorporated in 1989, as a professional, non-profit organization to serve and promote the interests of paralegals, the legal community, and the public.
GDPA provides continuing legal education, job placement opportunities, information about local, state, and national issues and promotes a high degree of professional standards and ethics among its members.
The purpose of GDPA is to establish good fellowship among association members and members of the legal community; to encourage a higher level of ethical and professional attainment; to further education and training among members of the profession; and to cooperate and foster working relationships with local bar associations and other professional organizations.
Our Goals and Objectives:
- To provide a forum for the exchange of information for members;
- To educate members and inform attorneys and students as to paralegal uses and roles;
- Act as a liaison between bar associations and the paralegal community; and
- To maintain a high level of professional standards and ethics among its members and within the legal community.
